Scope of Specialist ENT

Responsible for diagnosing and treating the illnesses of nose, throat and ears. Ensures  compliance to MOH and hospital’s regulatory guidelines.

Duties of Specialist ENT

• Provide professional services to the patients in OPD.
• Order diagnostic tests to make up a diagnosis.
• Study reports and treat the medical issues in the ENT domain.
• Take patient’s medical history.
• Perform surgeries on ears, nose and throat.
• Support other physicians and provide professional input required in the area of ENT.
• Guide junior ENT residents and nursing staff.
• Attend seminars, conferences and department meetings.
• Contact HOD / Consultant if / when a complex case arises.

Qualification & Experience

• MBBS from a recognized medical school.
• 4 years Residency in ENT.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience post specialization.
• License to practice in UAE.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of emergency and Evacuation procedures.
• Understanding of medical ethics.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
• Organizational and Interpersonal skills.
