This full time role is based in Abu Dhabi and is open to qualified teachers with strong experience of the UK national curriculum. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons that follow the UK national curriculum, IGCSE, and IB Diploma Programme. Inspire students of all ages and abilities to develop practical skills and creative thinking.
• Teach a range of DT specialisms including resistant materials, product design, and potentially electronics or graphics. Use plentiful classroom resources to support hands on learning.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Prepare students for external examinations and coursework requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed of student achievement and areas for improvement. Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and collaborate across subjects.
• Encourage and develop a culture of inspiration, enjoyment, and success in DT. Participate fully in extra curricular activities such as design clubs or maker spaces
• Continuously improve your own teaching practice through professional development. Finally, contribute to the wider life of the school community including events and assemblies.

Qualifications

You need a recognized teaching qualification and strong experience with the UK national curriculum. Further experience in international education is an added advantage. The school looks for an excellent communicator who works well with students, parents, and colleagues.
