About the Role
The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental care services and oral health education to patients at Dr. Nicolas and Asp Centre. Furthermore, the role involves performing clinical dental hygiene procedures, patient screenings, and supporting the dental team in delivering comprehensive oral healthcare. Moreover, the successful candidate will work in a modern, patient-focused environment equipped with state-of-the-art dental equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures for patients
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments including periodontal charting and screenings
- Capture and develop dental radiographs following DHA safety protocols
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, brushing, and flossing methods
- Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as prescribed by the dentist
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Support dentists during procedures and assist with chairside duties when required
- Sterilize dental instruments and ensure infection control compliance
- Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointment coordination
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution
- Valid DHA license or eligibility for DHA licensing as a Dental Hygienist
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental hygiene experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography and periodontal assessment techniques
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills in English
