Duties of A Customs Clearance Officer

• Manage the export and import processes.
• Comply with customs and trade regulations.
• Calculate and select the optimal logistics route with minimal cost.
• Inspect and search cargo, baggage and individuals for smuggled items
• Seize prohibited goods.
• Check documentation relating to imported goods.
• Perform any other related job duty as assigned by the higher authorities or which may fall within the scope of job work.
• Ensures compliance with customs regulations, facilitating the smooth and lawful import or export of goods by handling documentation, tariffs, and regulatory requirements.
• Navigating international trade procedures and facilitating the efficient movement of shipments across borders.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Customs Clearance Officer are as under:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Emirati citizen with at least 3 years of experience in customs clearance and trade operations.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
