Customer Service Agent/Fee Dubai Contract NEW

The University of Wollongong in Dubai needs a customer focused Fee Officer to join its Finance team. This full time role involves managing student fee inquiries and processing payments accurately. You will work at the finance counter, via email, and by phone. Your goal is to provide clear, timely, and professional responses to students. In addition, you will maintain accurate fee records and generate reports. The role also supports finance automation initiatives such as Robotic Process Automation. If you have an undergraduate degree and three to four years of customer service experience, this role is for you. Experience in education or fee processing is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage student inquiries at the finance counter, via email, and by phone. Provide clear and accurate responses. Process student fee payments and update records correctly in the finance system.
• Maintain professional and service focused interactions with students. Ensure accurate maintenance of fee records. Generate fee related reports as needed.
• Track outstanding balances, discrepancies, and payment issues. Escalate problems when appropriate. Work closely with Admissions, Registry, Colleges, and other internal teams. Resolve student finance queries and streamline workflows.
• Support finance automation initiatives. Participate in RPA process deep dive sessions. Identify automation opportunities. Monitor RPA outputs and provide timely feedback after deployment.
• Contribute to quarterly goal setting exercises and OKRs. Participate in daily SCRUMs and weekly reviews. Track progress and support continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency. Finally, maintain a calm and effective approach under pressure.

Qualifications

You need an undergraduate degree. Three to four years of experience in a customer service role is required. Experience in an educational, finance, or fee processing environment is preferred. You must have experience handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. Strong communication skills and a service oriented mindset are essential. Desirable experience includes working in a university or student services environment. Exposure to financial systems and basic reporting is a plus. Willingness to learn and support finance automation initiatives such as RPA is also desirable. Key skills include conflict resolution, attention to detail, and clear communication.
