About the Role
The Clinical Nursing and Ancillary Lead at American Hospital Dubai is responsible for overseeing daily departmental operations, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining full compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. You will supervise and develop team members while coordinating closely with clinical and administrative colleagues across the hospital. Furthermore, this role plays a key part in quality improvement initiatives, resource planning, and staff performance management. Strong organisational and leadership skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily departmental operations to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery in line with hospital standards
- Supervise, coach, and appraise team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Coordinate interdepartmental communication to ensure seamless operational workflows
- Develop and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality improvement protocols
- Monitor budget expenditure and identify opportunities for cost efficiency and resource optimisation
- Prepare operational reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management
- Lead staff training, orientation, and continuing professional development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical, health management, or administrative discipline; Master’s preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant healthcare experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Active DHA/HAAD licence or eligibility for UAE licensing (where applicable to clinical functions)
- Solid knowledge of healthcare quality standards, accreditation frameworks, and operational best practices
- Proven leadership, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital information or EHR systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage

Salary & Benefits
The estimated salary range for the Clinical Nursing and Ancillary Lead position at American Hospital Dubai is between AED 12,000 and AED 22,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
