About the CEDU Fall Semester Faculty Position
The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is inviting applications from highly qualified and experienced Ph.D. holders for full-time faculty positions in the College of Education (CEDU) for the Fall Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, commencing August 2026. Available Faculty Ranks
AUE is recruiting at multiple academic ranks, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor levels. Consequently, applications are welcomed from candidates at various stages of their academic career, provided they hold the required terminal degree and possess a demonstrated record of scholarly excellence. Additionally, candidates with bilingual competence in English and Arabic are strongly encouraged to apply, as the university serves a diverse, multicultural student population across its programs.
Areas of Specialization
The College of Education is seeking faculty members who can teach in one or more of the following disciplines: Social Sciences and Sociology, Anthropology, English Language, English Literature, Education, Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Tolerance Studies, and Psychology. Moreover, the instruction language for all programs is both English and Arabic, and each faculty member will be expected to carry a teaching load of 12 credit hours per academic semester.
Key Responsibilities of Faculty Members
Faculty members at AUE are expected to fulfill a broad range of academic and institutional responsibilities. In addition to delivering high-quality instruction, you will be required to develop and update course materials, engage in active scholarly research, and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, faculty are expected to participate in curriculum development, serve on departmental and university committees, and mentor students through academic advising and career guidance throughout each semester.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must hold a Ph.D. from an internationally recognized and accredited institution in a relevant area of specialization. Additionally, a strong record of research and publications is required, along with prior teaching experience at the university level. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to student success and academic excellence. Compensation and Benefits
AUE offers a highly competitive salary package along with a comprehensive benefits program for all full-time faculty members. The estimated salary range for these positions is AED 12,000 to AED 22,000 per month, depending on rank, qualifications, and relevant experience.
