About the Role
The Anesthesia Technician at King’s College Hospital London UAE will play a critical role in supporting anaesthetists during surgical procedures. Furthermore, the position involves ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of anaesthesia equipment and medications. Moreover, the successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary surgical team and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist anaesthetists in the preparation and administration of anaesthesia
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain anaesthesia machines and monitoring equipment
- Ensure availability and sterility of required supplies and medications
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to emergencies under supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of anaesthesia equipment
- Support pre-operative and post-operative patient preparation
Requirements
- DHA license or eligibility as an Anaesthesia Technician in the UAE
- Diploma or degree in Anaesthesia Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital operating theatre setting
- Strong technical knowledge of anaesthesia equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Immediate availability preferred
