Role of a Phlebotomist at King’s College Hospital

• Collaborate with nursing staff and clinical teams to coordinate specimen collection schedules, STAT requests, and special collection requirements for critical patients
• Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies including tubes, needles, tourniquets, and antiseptic materials to ensure uninterrupted service availability
• Document and report any adverse reactions, difficult draws, or specimen quality issues following established incident reporting protocols and quality procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related healthcare discipline from a recognized educational institution
• Must be a UAE National with valid Emirates ID and documentation as required by the Emiratisation program for healthcare sector positions
• Current licensure or eligibility for registration with the Dubai Health Authority or applicable UAE healthcare regulatory authority
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience performing phlebotomy in a clinical setting such as a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic laboratory
