Emirates Post Group, a prominent player in MENA logistics sector, is undergoing transformative journey towards a cloud based infrastructure. Currently, they are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to drive and optimize their transition, leveraging agile methodologies and cloud technologies. Incumbent will be a pivotal member of their IT team, responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations. You will play a crucial role in automating processes, enhancing deployment pipelines, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in cloud-based environment.

Duties of Senior DevOps Engineer

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud based infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Streamline and automate development workflows, leveraging CI/CD tools and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting systems to ensure the stability and performance of cloud environments.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, advocating for cultural changes and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Lead efforts in configuration management, utilizing tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef for efficient infrastructure management.
• Champion security best practices and compliance standards within the cloud infrastructure setup.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability in the cloud environment.

Requirements for Role of Senior DevOps Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) would be advantageous.
• 3-4 years of experience working in DevOps roles, particularly in cloud based environments (AWS, Azure, or OCI).

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.
