Job Purpose of QA Engineer At EDGE Group

Ensure quality of systems by designing testing processes & conducting thorough assessments to enhance products reliability and performance.

Duties of QA Engineer At EDGE Group

• Participate to review UX/design specifications and guidelines.
• Create functional test asset for Epics/ Stories/NFRs.
• Review cases with scrum team or development team.
• Execute test scripts for assigned project. Perform testing for project & retest as necessary.
• Ensures proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specifications.
• Creates detailed, comprehensive and well structured automated test scripts for the assigned project.
• Participate in planning, design and development of quality end to end automation framework and test scripts designed for reusability.
• Performs automation executions through Jenkins and triage any failures.
• Plan what test tools, accessories, environment requirement are needed for testing and acquire the needed.
• Perform functional and non functional tests. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved to ensure high quality.
• Understanding a non functional aspect of the SW and working together with NFT specialist to define NFT test cases.
• Maintain QA documents are upto date across sprints.
• Cooperation and communication with other team members and other teams.
• Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• 3-8 years of experience in software testing, preferably with Android and iOS mobile devices.
• Experience in any test automation tool like Appium/Selenium, Robot etc and developing testing scripts using Java, Python or other programming language.
• Previous QA experience with QA processes, understand test methodologies & unit test framework.
• Experience in working with multiple platforms especially mobile platforms Windows/Linux/MacOS, Android/iOS.
• Experience in any of the test management tools i.e. Zephyr, Bugzilla, HP QC.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Programming in python, C/C++, Java, bash.
• Client server infrastructure testing and backend testing (this includes DB testing, analyses of logs etc).
• Understand SDLC, familiar with agile methodology.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with development and configuration tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins, etc).
