Hotels/Restaurant industry is currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join their team as Kitchen Helper in Dubai. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment and contribute to the creation of delicious dishes.
Responsibilities of Kitchen Helper
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing ingredients according to recipes and cooking standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances, following proper procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen team members to coordinate meal preparation, cooking times, and plating presentations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed and rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Adhere to kitchen procedures and recipes, maintaining consistency in portion sizes, seasoning, and cooking techniques.
- Assist with special events, banquets, and catering functions as needed, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of food items.
- Provide support to kitchen team members during peak periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to meet customer demands and maintain service standards.
Requirements of Kitchen Helper
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary terminology and kitchen equipment operation.
- Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
- Prior experience of 1-2 years in a kitchen environment, culinary training program, or related field preferred but not required; on the job training will be provided.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
