The selected candidate will form part of CDA’s IT Department’s technical team. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure smooth functioning of CDA devices, systems & applications for efficient users/customers experience. Job Purpose of A Support Engineer
Provide technical support for CDA’s office devices /applications as well as users in accordance with approved operating policies and procedures.
Job Duties of A Support Engineer
- Respond to requests and inquiries received through the technical support system and work to solve them.
- Analyze and solve technical problems of applications, programs or smart networks being faced by users.
- Coordinate with other employees of IT Department for necessary assistance in solving technical problems.
- Provide necessary technical support remotely as well as through physical presence in CDA’s offices/centers.
- Diagnose daily problems of devices faced by CDA users to ensure that the devices work effectively.
- Conduct regular maintenance of computers and devices to ensure that they operate effectively.
- Develop appropriate maintenance plan for IT devices and infrastructure.
- Train and guide users about how to operate IT systems/devices as well as applications.
- Keep record of all repair/maintenance requests received and solved. Prepare report and submit it to direct manager.
- Take necessary precautions/steps to protect IT devices from viruses.
- Maintain proper inventory of IT systems and ensure replacement of products or devices on expiry of their set life span.
- Adhere to the information security policies and procedures.
- Perform any other tasks within the scope of job responsibilities.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- 2-4 years in a similar field.
- Relevant training certificates (e.g. A+ ITIL Network+).
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing).
