The Arbor School needs a talented Whole School PE Teacher. This role also leads Outdoor and Adventurous Activities. You will teach PE across KS1 to KS4. In addition, you will specialise in outdoor education. This is a full time position. The school follows a unique ecological and sustainability vision. Key Responsibilities

• Teach high quality PE lessons across the whole school. Cover KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4. Plan engaging sessions that build physical skills and confidence.
• Lead Outdoor and Adventurous Activities. This is a cornerstone of the school’s ecological ethos. Help students develop resilience, teamwork, and a deep connection to the natural world.
• Oversee the Duke of Edinburgh International Award. Deliver the programme for students who want to challenge themselves outdoors.
• Contribute to the enrichment and sport programme. Coach Primary and Secondary squads in athletics, netball, and cheerleading. Support fixtures and competitions. Grow both participation and performance.
• Create a caring and nurturing environment. Use active voice in your teaching. Assess student progress regularly. Provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with the PE and Sports team. Communicate proactively with parents and colleagues. Finally, meet agreed deadlines and bring your passions to enrich the school community.

Qualifications

You need native level English language skills. A bachelor degree in Physical Education or a similar subject is essential. You also need a PGCE with QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. A minimum of three years of experience teaching PE in the UK or a reputable British school overseas is required. You must have a track record of outstanding teaching and learning. The school also looks for expertise in athletics, netball, and cheerleading. A passion for outdoor education is key.
