This Registered Nurse role covers the full nursing process across outpatient clinical settings, managing direct and indirect patient care for diverse age groups while supervising Practical Nurses and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You work within CCAD’s Professional Practice Model, contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives, and carry accountability for charge capture, documentation accuracy, and resource stewardship. If you bring at least two years of post-graduate ambulatory care experience and hold a current national nursing licence, this role is built around your clinical profile.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete timely patient admission and ongoing assessments. Plan and update individualised care plans based on each patient’s needs, incorporating family-centred care principles throughout.
• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes continuously. Monitor and document patient condition, effectiveness of interventions, and response to treatment accurately in the medical record.
• Assess educational needs of patients and families, accounting for cultural background and special concerns. Provide teaching and educational materials, then validate and document patient understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications in line with CCAD policies and protocols. Use barcode scanning for medication administration and follow all approved safety procedures without exception.
• Carry out prescribed treatments per approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures. Apply evidence-based practice across all clinical interventions.
• Delegate appropriate components of the nursing care plan to Practical Nurses and other team members. Lead the caregiver team in delivering patient care and achieving planned outcomes.
• Maintain patient and family confidentiality at all times. Promote professional interdisciplinary communication and adhere to Mubadala’s Code of Conduct across all interactions.
• Communicate patient clinical information clearly during handoffs and shift changes. Engage patients and families in planning daily care as appropriate to their condition and preferences.
• Complete charge capture education and real-time documentation in Epic. Ensure all charges are captured accurately within required timeframes per CCAD policy.
• Participate in safety education programs, root cause analysis, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities. Report errors, near-misses, and needed practice changes supported by evidence.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited program with a minimum three-year curriculum.
• Minimum two years of post-graduate experience in an ambulatory care setting. UAE nursing college graduates are exempt after completing an approved internship.
• Valid and current national nursing licence from country of origin or practice.
• BLS certification from AHA or equivalent organisation — required at appointment or must obtain within three months of employment.
• ACLS and PALS certifications relevant to area of specialty from AHA or equivalent — required or must obtain within six months of employment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and electronic medical record systems. Epic experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously under pressure in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
