About the Role
As a CT / MRI Technologist at American Hospital Dubai, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies using advanced CT and MRI technology, following established clinical protocols and physician orders. You will prepare patients, ensure accurate positioning, and produce clear diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation in a timely manner. Moreover, you will apply radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff at all times. This role combines technical imaging expertise with a patient-centred, safety-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and/or MRI imaging examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician referral requirements
- Position patients accurately and provide clear procedural instructions to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, and scheduled calibration schedules
- Apply radiation safety principles, including ALARA, to minimise exposure risks for patients and staff
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required, monitoring patients closely for any adverse reactions
- Archive, label, and transmit images accurately via the PACS system for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with hospital policy
- Participate in departmental quality assurance programmes, audits, and equipment performance reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant allied health, clinical science, or technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Current DHA/HAAD licence or documented eligibility for UAE allied health professional licensure
- Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a relevant specialty or setting
- Relevant specialist certification (e.g., CT/MRI operator certification, physiotherapy board registration) as applicable
- Strong patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and procedural skills
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and relevant departmental information systems
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to patient-centred care

Salary & Benefits
The estimated salary range for the CT / MRI Technologist position at American Hospital Dubai is between AED 12,000 and AED 22,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
