Job Description

Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH) is a specialty hospital that provides acute and long-term rehabilitation care, along with inpatient, outpatient and Home Health Rehabilitation. Currently, the hospital is seeking a devoted and dedicated Specialized Nurse & Physiotherapist to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities of Specialized Nurse & Physiotherapist

  • Help patients move around the clinic if they’re unable to do that themselves.
  • Perform the administrative/ clerical tasks when asked.
  • Sanitize equipment and treatment areas.
  • Maintain patient’s record files.
  • Observe patients during therapy and keep track of their progress.
  • Maintain inventory and order new supplies.
  • Administer painkillers on the advice of Consultant / Senior Physiotherapist.
  • Treat patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, disability or ageing.
  • Help promote patients health and wellbeing and assist the rehabilitation process by developing and restoring body systems, in particular the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
  • Developing and reviewing treatment programmes.
  • Working with patients to identify the physical problem.
  • Assisting patients with joint and spinal problems, especially following surgery.
  • Helping patients rehabilitation following accidents, injury and strokes.
  • Collecting patient statistics.
  • Writing patient case notes and reports.
  • Educating and advising patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions.
  • Effectively communicating with staff members, health professionals, clients and family with regards to provision of physiotherapy services.
  • Working as a professional member of a multi disciplinary rehabilitation team and actively participating in team meetings.

What makes you eligible?

The post of Specialized Nurse & Physiotherapist at SRH required the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Nursing or Therapy).
  • DOH/HAAD licensed or eligible for DOH/HAAD licensing.
  • JCIA & Accreditation experience preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Able to manage difficult situations and uses own initiative.
  • Ability to handle pressure.
