RAK Medical and Health Sciences University is hiring a Senior Team Lead / Team Lead- Application Infrastructure (Emirati Preferred) Ras Al Khaimah UAE in Ras Al Khaimah. This is a full-time position.

RAK Medical and Health Sciences University needs a skilled Senior Team Lead for Application Infrastructure. This full time role involves leading a team responsible for the end to end deployment, maintenance, and optimization of application infrastructure systems. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical enterprise applications. You will also align infrastructure capabilities with business and application needs. In addition, you will gather and analyze business requirements, prepare use cases, conduct testing, develop Standard Operating Procedures, and deliver end user training. If you hold a bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field (master preferred) with more than ten years of experience in software implementation and team leadership, this role suits you. Experience in an educational institution is preferred.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Team Lead / Team Lead

• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of application infrastructure systems

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of enterprise applications

• Align infrastructure capabilities with business and application needs

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders

• Prepare use cases and conduct functional and user acceptance testing

• Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures for system operations

• Deliver end user training and create training materials

• Work closely with software developers and system integrators

• Ensure deployed solutions meet operational requirements

• Translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements

• Manage project scopes, timelines, deliverables, and risks

• Monitor system performance and drive improvements

• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability strategies

• Lead cross functional teams including developers, engineers, and integrators

• Mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

• Explore and adopt new tools and technologies to improve reliability and automation

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, change management, and data security standards

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (master preferred)

• More than ten years of experience in software implementation, testing, requirement gathering, documentation, and team leadership

• Experience in an educational institution is preferred

• Proven experience deploying Student Information Systems, preferably Ellucian Banner

• Proven experience deploying Learning Management Systems

• Strong collaboration skills with academic departments, business units, and senior leadership

• Expertise in project management including scope, timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation

• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and enterprise software delivery

• Technical proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases, application integration, and reporting tools

• Strong experience leading and mentoring cross functional teams

• Proficiency in preparing SOPs, technical documentation, and user training

• Knowledge of IT governance, change management, and data security best practices

• Experience with software testing methodologies, defect tracking tools, and test case development

• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

• Familiarity with version control tools like Git or Jira

• Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills in English
