Job Description
Respiratory Therapist at NMC Specialty Hospital will interprets physician orders and doing pulmonary function testing, allergy testing, sleep study, assisting bronchoscopy, to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 7000-15000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Respiratory Therapist
- Check patient lab order to make sure there are no errors and that they’re appropriate and safe for the individual patient.
- Review orders issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy.
- Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Assist in teaching programs (departmental, medical, nursing, community).
- Ensure the maintenance and proper operation of equipment and supplies in the work areas.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Assist the Chief of Respiratory Services on special assignments.
- Assist the Chief of Respiratory Services with responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s mission, policy and any applicable laws. Follow insurance companies policies and procedures..
- Maintain established procedures concerning quality control, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste.
- Enter data into the computer system such as patient, prescribed and cost and maintains patient.
Requirements for Role of Respiratory Therapist
- Bachelor degree / Diploma in Respiratory Therapist.
- Two years as a Respiratory Therapist or relevant clinical experience.
- Valid MOH license.

- Ability to demonstrate an excellent knowledge in respiratory field.
- Excellent communication skills with good command in writing and speaking in English and knowledge in Arabic preferred.
