Regulation & Compliance Manager at Abu Dhabi Ports will support Compliance function of AD Ports Industrial and Free Zone Cluster Subsidiaries and is responsible to align the design and implementation of the Compliance program of the Subsidiaries to AD Ports’ Corporate Compliance mandate and strategy. Additionally, the Compliance Manager is responsible to oversee and report periodically on the Subsidiaries’ Compliance Management Information to AD Ports’ Director of Regulations and Compliance, the role would be accountable for implementing a Compliance Program that is in line with local laws and regulations, leading industry practices and international standards. Finally, the role would be responsible to drive a positive culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the subsidiaries.

Duties of Regulation & Compliance Manager

  • Collaborate with AD Port Group’s Head of Regulations and Compliance and the GRC Representatives of each subsidiary to assist with the design and implementation of the Compliance program.
  • Ensure that the design and implementation of the Compliance Program of each subsidiary is aligned with AD Ports’ requirements.
  • Engage with the Head of Regulations and Compliance and the GRC Representatives of each subsidiary.
  • Assist each subsidiary to embed AD Ports’ Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework to ensure Compliance risks are assessed, monitored, and mitigated in a robust and systematic manner for the relevant subsidiaries.
  • Implement a robust internal mechanism to ensure periodic Compliance Management Information reporting from each subsidiary to AD Ports’ Director.
  • Implement a mechanism to ensure the Director of Regulations and Compliance is informed of all the regulatory developments and challenges that may impact each subsidiary.
  • Assist with the implementation of investigation management and case resolution mechanism designed by AD Ports Group to address and resolve complaints or non-compliances raised by employees or Third Parties within the relevant subsidiaries.
  • Support and champion AD Ports’ vision for innovation and automation across all relevant subsidiaries.
  • Regularly communicate and promote AD Ports’ and subsidiaries’ commitment.
  • Implement a strategy to effectively protect the Industrial Cluster and Free Zone subsidiaries from financial, legal, and reputational risks.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Regulation & Compliance Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, government, political science, communications, or a related field from an internationally recognized higher education institution.
  • Compliance/AML and Sanctions certification is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a leading role preferably as an in-house Compliance Head.

Skills Desired

  • Established relationships with regulatory authorities is desirable.
