About the Role
The Registered Nurse for Pediatrics Services at Fakeeh University Hospital is responsible for the assessment, management, and provision of quality nursing care to all pediatric patients aged 0 to 16 years. Furthermore, the nurse serves as an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborates in the development, execution, and evaluation of care plans. Moreover, the pediatric nurse works with children of all ages and plays a key role in assessing nursing needs while considering medical, social, cultural, and family circumstances of each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients aged 0 to 16 years
- Conduct thorough assessments of children’s nursing needs and health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Administer medications and monitor pediatric patients for side effects or reactions
- Support children and young people alongside their families throughout treatment
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and social workers for integrated care
- Monitor and document patients’ conditions and report significant changes
- Educate families about pediatric health conditions and preventive measures
- Respond to pediatric emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
- Maintain strict infection control standards and patient safety protocols
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years of continuous nursing experience in UAE or home country
- Minimum 1 year of experience specifically in a pediatric unit
- Valid DHA license or eligibility for nursing practice
- BLS and PALS certifications are required
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient-centered approach
- Previous overseas experience is an advantage but not required
