About the Role

The Registered Nurse PAR will be responsible for providing high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures at Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital. Furthermore, this role involves continuous monitoring of patients during the critical recovery phase, ensuring their safety and comfort. Moreover, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. The position is based at the Zayed Sports City campus in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients during the post-anesthesia recovery period, including vital signs and consciousness levels
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for post-surgical patients
• Manage pain assessment and administer prescribed medications according to hospital protocols
• Coordinate patient transfers and handovers with surgical and ward nursing teams
• Support patients and families by providing education on post-operative care and recovery expectations
• Lead emergency interventions when patients experience adverse reactions during recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing assessments and interventions
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the PAR unit
• Promote infection control practices and ensure compliance with hospital safety standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental training programs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification
• Valid nursing license recognized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in post-anesthesia care, recovery room, or critical care nursing
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Experience working in a JCI-accredited or equivalent healthcare facility preferred
