About the Role
The Registered Nurse for Outpatient Services at Fakeeh University Hospital is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a clinical outpatient setting. Furthermore, the role includes assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining comprehensive medical records. Moreover, the nurse works closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes across all outpatient departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient health including physical examinations and vital signs
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor for adverse reactions
- Provide wound care including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection
- Assist physicians during medical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures
- Conduct purposeful rounding to ensure patient needs are met and prevent complications
- Maintain accurate patient care records including observations, interventions, and responses
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
- Oversee junior staff and nursing students, providing guidance and support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (RN residency available for new graduates)
- Valid license from country of origin and DHA license for practice
- BLS, ACLS, and other applicable LSTC certifications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong teamwork abilities and ability to manage work pressure
