About the Role
The Registered Nurse at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centred nursing care within the hospital’s clinical units. Furthermore, the role requires assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Moreover, the nurse will uphold AZHD’s clinical standards and DHA regulatory requirements at all times, ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient based on individual clinical needs.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care that aligns with AZHD policies, procedures, and international standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical indicators, reporting any changes to the treating physician immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, following safe medication practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Collaborate actively with physicians, allied health professionals, and care coordinators.
- Maintain a safe ward environment through adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families on their care plans, medications, and discharge planning.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the nursing unit.
- Perform additional unit-based competencies and duties as directed by the nursing manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution (minimum 3-year programme).
- Valid nursing registration in country of training and/or previous country of employment.
- Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Nursing License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
