Purpose of A Regional Solution Design Manager

- The role owns solution design, costing & pricing in the region, where necessary to personally take the lead for Warehouse Solution Design process for customer pursuits that require advanced warehouse engineering knowhow.
Job Duties of A Regional Solution Design Manager At Maersk Dubai, UAE
Lead Warehouse Solution Design process in IMEA (India Subcontinent, Middle East and Africa) for customer pursuits that require advanced warehouse engineering know how.
Own Solution design, costing & pricing in IMEA region (9 Areas) where necessary to personally take the lead to:
- Capture core data and assumptions that are required to design, cost and price the solution for the customer.
- Develop detailed designs for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, estimated value for the client and draft P&L for Maersk.
- Calculate warehouse size based on throughput and product data mainly provided as part of a customer RFQ.
- Create warehouse process flows for key activities including receiving, put away, picking, packing and dispatch to maximize productivity.
- Calculate activity productivity targets to support resource and activity based costing models.
- Create warehouse throughput simulation models using CLASS software to visualize warehouse operations, throughputs and alternatives.
Guide Solution design teams in IMEA on new business opportunities.
Provide new solutions and ideas to help create the most competitive costings.
Be an active person within the Global CL Solution Design Community:-
- Capture and share knowledge / best practices throughout the organization to support short and long term success.
- Speak up and share both supportive and critical views in a way that fosters a dynamic and engaging pursuit of improvement.

Who Can Apply?
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in industrial engineering, operations or logistics.
Experience
- 15+ years experience in the design of fulfilment (b2b and b2c) solutions.
- Highly experienced in design solutions for core WnD focus verticals (retail, life style, tech, FMCG and auto motive).
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Highly good in creating warehouse layouts and simulation models using CLASS and AutoCAD.
- Extremely skilled warehouse solution engineer, who has deep understanding of making process changes on financials.
- Exposure of working in warehouse.
- Proficient in English language both spoken and written.
