A Regional Dangerous Goods Trainer  at Aramex is responsible for ensuring the safe handling, transportation, storage and training of hazardous materials within Aramex. Ensure adherence to local, regional, and international regulations and standards on dangerous goods, such as IATA and ADR. 

Duties of Regional Dangerous Goods Trainer

  • Monitoring the checklist and DGD with dangerous goods regulations specifically IATA.
  • Act as primary contact for Commercial teams and participate in customer assessment to improve DG portfolio.
  • Ensure all governmental approvals are in place and keep regular checks with Country Operations and PRO teams.
  • Assist and work closely with Dangerous goods manager and country teams in order to mitigate their challenges with the Airlines, Ground Handling Agents and Government authorities such as Civil Aviation and HSE teams.
  • Enforce implementation of DG SOP designed globally for stations and HUBs, work closely with Internal HSE and Audit teams.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for employees handling dangerous goods, ensuring they are aware of the risks, proper handling procedures, and emergency response protocols.
  • Record and maintain training records, submit to relevant units / departments whenever required or needed.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections of facilities, operations, and transportation methods to identify potential hazards and compliance issues.
  • Ensure timely and regular meetings with regional and country operations team and work on feedback.
  • Conduct spot checks, audits at intervals and report findings to all stake holders.
  • Review and maintain accurate records of dangerous goods such as MAWB, Checklists, Account approvals and safety data sheets (SDS), classification, labeling, and packaging.
  • Respond to and investigate incidents involving dangerous goods, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Conduct risk assessments for the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials, recommending appropriate safety.
  • Preparing monthly DG export reports from each station.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams regionally to bill the service properly.

Requirements for role of Regional Dangerous Goods Trainer

The eligibility requirements for role of Regional Dangerous Goods Trainer are as under:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or logistics or supply chain operations. 
  • Minimum Experience of 4 years in dangerous goods, training and content management.
  • Train the trainer certification from IATA is a plus.
