About the Role

The Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Applied Mathematics will join the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computing at Emirates Aviation University. Furthermore, the successful candidate is expected to teach at the undergraduate level, supervise PhD candidates at the postgraduate level, and establish active research programmes. Moreover, they will maintain research that leads to peer-reviewed publications in high-impact professional journals and provide service to the school, university, and the wider profession. In addition, candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in both research and teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and related areas
• Supervise PhD candidates at the postgraduate level
• Establish and maintain active research programmes in applied mathematics
• Publish peer-reviewed research in high-impact professional journals
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic programme enhancement
• Provide service to the school, the university, and the profession
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to advance research initiatives
• Mentor students and support their academic development
• Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and activities

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent doctorate in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related area from an accredited institution
• Strong research potential demonstrated by relevant publications in high-impact journals
• Teaching experience in mathematics or related areas at university level
• Excellent communication skills for both teaching and collaboration
• Preference given to candidates with education from or previous service in distinguished institutions of higher education
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in both research and teaching
