The Arbor School
Enough for all, forever
The Arbor School is looking for a nurturing, creative, and reflective Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join its primary team. This full time role involves supporting children’s transition from Early Years Foundation Stage and establishing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal development. If you love creating a safe, joyful, and inclusive learning environment where young learners become confident, curious, and independent thinkers, this position offers a unique opportunity. You will design rich and engaging learning experiences aligned with the National Curriculum for England, using exploration and structured play to foster a love of learning.
The Arbor School opened in 2018 with a different vision of education, one that is experiential, authentic, and inspired by the natural beauty and ecological challenges of the Arabian Peninsula. The school is committed to understanding and restoring the health of ecological and human communities. The learning community values optimism, ambition, humility, empathy, and compassion. The school pursues a holistic approach to teaching and learning, preparing students to understand sustainability, find joy in nature, and experience self efficacy through their actions.
You need native level English language skills. A bachelor degree in Education, or a bachelor degree with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent, is essential. A minimum of two years of experience teaching Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 in British schools is required. You must have a track record of outstanding teaching and learning and the ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment. The school looks for candidates who are resilient, calm under pressure, creative, and flexible when solving problems.
The monthly tax free salary for this KS1 Class Teacher role ranges from 11000 to 16000 AED depending on experience and qualifications. A competitive compensation package will be provided in accordance with the school’s policy and UAE labour law regulations. Additional benefits include working in a unique, ecologically focused school, a supportive and inclusive community, and the chance to help shape young learners’ foundational years. Arbor teachers enjoy authentic friendships with colleagues and positive relationships with school leaders who care for their wellbeing.
Please complete the application on TES and upload an up to date CV with a recent photograph. Also upload a letter of application, no longer than two pages, outlining your educational philosophy and suitability for The Arbor School. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting child welfare, so all appointments are subject to CV and qualification checks, interview, identity checks, criminal record checks, and successful references. All appointments also require approval from KHDA and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. If you are ready to nurture young minds in a school that values ecological restoration and joyful learning, we encourage you to apply.
