Wood presently has an opening for qualified and experienced candidates for the role of a Senior Procurement Specialist. Responsibilities of A Senior Procurement Specialist

• Undertake procurement of “Long Lead” items including ITB, evaluation, purchase order and post order management.
• Support all on-going project procurement activities as required.
• Report to procurement manager and assist with any other tasks as required.
• Liaise with client appointed freight forwarder.
• Produce expediting status reports.
• Prioritise purchase orders that require expediting.
• Contact vendors to establish the status of a purchase order.
• Continually provide projects with feedback on the current delivery status of a Purchase Order.
• Perform site visits when required.
• Notify project personnel of any potential “slippages” to the agreed schedule.
• Negotiate improved delivery / recovery plans when required.
• Update the procurement system with revised delivery dates when required.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Senior Procurement Specialist are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 8-10 years experience in procurement on large EPC projects in the oil and gas industries.
• Previous Middle East experience is essential.
• Previous Maximo, SAP and Oracle experience.
