Mubadala Health (National Reference Laboratory) presently is looking for qualified candidates for job position of a Procurement Officer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Mubadala Health is health care network of Mubadala Investment Company. Established in 2021, Mubadala Health operates, manages & develops a portfolio of health care assets including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Health point, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), Amana Health care, National Reference Laboratory (NRL), Capital Health Screening Centre (CHSC), Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre (ADTC), Danat Al Emarat, Health Plus Diabetes & Endocrinology Center, Health Plus Family Clinics, Health Plus Fertility, Health Plus Women’s Health Center and Moorfields Eye Hospital Abu Dhabi.
Job Purpose of A Procurement Officer
- Reporting to the Category Manager, he is responsible for providing all purchasing / procurement related services.
- Planning the purchasing activities by receiving all purchase requisitions in line with MH overall procurement plan & policy.
Job Duties As A Procurement Officer At National Reference Laboratory, Mubadala Health Abu Dhabi (UAE)
- Participates with help of Line Manager to meet the division strategic and operational goals.
- Adheres to the division’s policy & standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory bodies.
- Develop the division’s policy and provides recommendations towards improving them.
- Contributes towards a creative culture of continuous improvement for enhancing operational efficiency.
- Participates in meetings and maintains professionalism as per standard code of conduct.
- Completes personal performance evaluation cycle in a timely manner.
- Supports collection and review of the latest spend and internal demand data, as well as gathers and analyses market intelligence data to support development of sourcing plan.
- Maintains all purchase orders in systems to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Procures goods and services for MH by effectively ensuring that all requisitions are complete.
- Processes orders in a correct way and distributes goods and materials in line with divisional policy.
What You’ll Do More?
- Maintains correct records of goods being ordered and received to accurately track orders.
- Resolves any problems caused by orders being filled out inaccurately and not meeting target dates.
- Ensures that billing and budgets are charged correct and in a timely manner.
- Examines and adjusts any discrepancies by getting correct information and working with the Finance divisions.
- Provides ideas to enhance performance, reduce cost & improve automation of the sourcing process with help of IT teams & end users.
- Supports procurement related audit activities.
- Provides supervision, guidance, on job training and share constructive feed back for direct reports (if any).
- Communicates with team members and maintains good interfunctional liaison to ensure smooth operational activities.
Qualification & Experience
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration or related field.
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience.
- Healthcare industry experience.
Nationality
- UAE national.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge of key supply chain process and current best practices.
- Understanding of international and local supply markets and working practices.
- Strong commercial acumen skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Computer know how with strong skills in finance (ERP) systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
