About the Role

As a Primary ICT Teacher at Yasmina British Academy, you will teach the Primary Computing Curriculum from Nursery to Year 6 while driving the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Head of Digital Learning and Innovation to ensure students and teachers leverage the latest digital advancements. Moreover, the role involves implementing AI, AR, VR, coding, robotics, and emerging technologies into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach the Primary Computing Curriculum from Nursery to Year 6 covering key computing concepts and skills
• Collaborate with curriculum leads to embed technology and STEAM into curriculum planning
• Implement future-focused digital learning experiences including AI, AR, VR, coding, and robotics
• Assist in the implementation of new hardware and software technologies within the school
• Train and prepare student teams for technology competitions including Formula Ethara and First Lego League
• Lead technology-focused CPD and INSET training sessions for teachers
• Facilitate after-school clubs such as 3D printing, coding, robotics, and drone clubs
• Promote e-safety and digital citizenship awareness across the school

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or BSc degree with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 2 years experience teaching Computing from KS1-2 British Curriculum
• Experience in coding, robotics, or digital literacy teaching is desirable
• Proficiency in utilising educational technology tools and platforms for primary computing
• Strong understanding of pedagogical strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum
• Awareness of current and emerging trends in digital technology within education
• A clean enhanced DBS check or police check
