Dwight School Dubai is hiring a Physical Health Education Teacher (Lower School) Dwight School Dubai in Dubai. This is a full-time position.

A passionate Physical Health Education teacher is needed for the Lower School. This full time role covers KG2 to Grade 5. You will report to the Head of Physical Health Education. Your job is to provide high quality teaching and assessment. As a result, students will improve their learning, engagement, and achievement. The school follows the IB curriculum framework. Therefore, you will plan lessons that align with IB requirements. The school values the Spark of Genius in every child. Consequently, you will help young students discover a love for movement and healthy living. If you have a degree in Physical Education and qualified teacher status, this role could be for you.

Key Responsibilities for Physical Health Education Teacher

• Plan for outstanding teaching and assessment. Follow the school’s Teaching and Learning policies. Maintain high standards for punctuality, behaviour, uniform, and effort. Keep unit and lesson planning up to date and accurate. Ensure all planning meets IB and school requirements.
• Assess how well students meet learning objectives. Use assessment results to improve your teaching. Mark students’ work regularly. Set clear targets for progress. Moderate work with colleagues following the school’s feedback policy. Record student progress systematically. Use performance data to plan lessons and interventions. Prepare informative reports for parents.
• Recognise the Spark of Genius in every child. Follow the Dwight vision, mission, and pillars in all aspects of your role. Serve as a PYP Exhibition Supervisor if required.
• Undertake duties on the staff duty rota. Cover for absent colleagues when needed. Undertake relevant training and professional development. Support school events and activities including the ECA programme. Finally, collaborate actively in the Dwight and IB community. Build strong partnerships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

You need a degree in Physical Education or a related subject. Qualified teacher status is essential. Experience teaching PE in a lower school or primary school setting is required. The school looks for a passion for teaching young children. A track record of outstanding teaching and learning is expected. The ability to create a caring, active, and nurturing environment is also important.
