About the Role

As a Physical Education Teacher at Yasmina British Academy, you will create an engaging learning environment conducive to outstanding practice in PE and sport. Furthermore, you will plan and deliver lessons that challenge students and ensure high levels of interest while setting clear targets and building on prior attainment. Moreover, the role requires excellent knowledge of volleyball, basketball, and athletics, with experience in delivering exam PE including Edexcel GCSE and A Level. This position starts in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a climate conducive to outstanding learning and teaching in Physical Education
• Plan and deliver PE lessons that challenge students across the full ability range
• Identify SEN and gifted students and provide differentiated learning matched to individual needs
• Make effective use of performance data and assessment to inform planning
• Mark and monitor students’ work and set targets for progress
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents at parent-teacher consultations
• Coach and lead high-level sports teams in volleyball, basketball, and athletics
• Participate in marketing and liaison activities including open evenings and school events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field with a teaching qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching PE, GCSE and A Level experience desirable
• Excellent knowledge of volleyball, basketball, and athletics
• Experience in delivering Edexcel GCSE and A Level PE
• Experience coaching and leading high-level sports teams
• Previous experience working with EAL students
• A clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance
