Role of Pharmacist Intern

Responsible for properly and accurately dispensing the medication, as per physician’s prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

Responsibilities of Pharmacist Intern

• Perform general administrative duties.
• Supporting the Pharmacist in billing, medications dispensing and cash management.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of medications in inventory.
• Help with insurance administration and patient record management.
• Maintain professional working relationships with doctors, nurses, colleagues, and other healthcare practitioners.
• Handle daily operational tasks such as inventory management, expiry management, dispensation.
• Provide consultation to customers on the selection of healthcare supplies, medication brands and medical equipment.
• Train the patients on the use of devices (i.e. blood pressure devices, diabetes monitors etc).

Qualification & Experience

• Graduation in pharmacy, from an accredited Institute of pharmacy.
• Approval/ license from DHA is mandatory before starting the training programme.
• No experience is required.Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent command of English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy related policies and standards.
