Pharmacist Health & Medical Services Co. Dubai UAE

Health & Medical Services Co. is seeking a UAE National Pharmacist to join their team in Dubai. The position dispenses medication prescribed by doctors and works closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure patients receive the most appropriate treatment, and provides help and advice to patients in all aspects of medicinal use. The Pharmacist functions in accordance with DHA, GPH, and LCI legislative policies and guidelines.

Duties as a Pharmacist

• Provide and develop a Clinical Pharmacy service to a variety of Medical and Surgical Specialties.
• Adhere to the Clinical Pharmacy Services Standards as per clinical strategy. Participate in Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Committee meetings.
• Act as a source of specialist advice and information. Support Medicines information for inpatient specialties.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team and educate patients/ nursing staff about prescribed medication regimes (inpatient and discharge) with the aim of improving compliance.
• Achieve medicines reconciliation processes and enhance patient safety at ward level.
• Co-ordinate and monitor the provision of neonatal, paediatric and adult TPN.
• Contribute to the clinical focus of the department and participate in ward rounds, clinical hand-over.
• Promote the role of the Pharmacist as an integral part of the hospital multi-disciplinary clinical team.
• Identify prescriptions that might present risks to patients and resolve relevant issues before dispensing.
• Recognize and discern prescribing or administration errors, assessing potential risk and strategies to manage this risk.
• Make clinical interventions by challenging other professionals in their prescribing or administration practices and to keep accurate records.

Qualification & Experience of Pharmacist

• B- PHARM.
• Minimum 3 years experience.
• DHA License or Eligibility Letter is an added advantage.
