Responsibilities of Pharmacist

• Responsible for ensuring the effective and safe use of medicines by dispensing as per physician’s prescriptions.
• Providing information about use and potential side effects.
• Promoting overall health and well being of the patients.
• Guide and supervise trainees, assistant pharmacists and related staff.
• Thoroughly check the prescriptions and clarify doubts from the Physicians if any
• Manage and supervise the pharmacy activities.
• Take note of any issues and relay to the concerned person / department.
• Dispense medications to the patients on doctor’s prescription. Answer their questions and provide counseling.
• Advise Physician on substitutes and control the drug usage when needed.
• Maintain the quality of the established pharmaceutical indicators.
• Strictly adhere to the hospital’s medical regulations and policies related to patient care, patient safety, and infection control.
• Also responsible for procurement, receiving and storage of vaccines as mentioned in the safe handling of vaccines.

Qualification & Experience

To qualify for the role of Pharmacist, you’ll need the following:

• Bachelor’s in Pharmacy.
• 2-3 years of experience in the field.
• License to practice in home country.
• DOH license to work in UAE.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical ethics.
• Knowledge of medicines and their mode of action.
• Ability to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exemplary organizational skills.
