OT Technician NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah

NMC Healthcare looking to hire a candidate for the job role of a OT Technician in NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah, UAE. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 4000-6000 AED/month. Desirous candidates fulfilling under mentioned criteria are encouraged to submit their applications.

Responsibilities

• They are responsible for having surgical instruments, sterile bandages and linens, needed fluids, and other equipment ready for the operation.
• They may also assist doctors by handing them needed instruments during surgery and for counting sponges and needles before and after the operation.
• They are responsible to handle the special instruments such as Laparoscopic towers, Monitors, Lasers, Electric cautery, tourniquet, pumps, etc.
• Operating room Technicians are skilled to assemble orthopedic table, neurosurgery drills, pneumatic drills, etc. They also have to dismantle, clean, and disinfect these things in store for the following case.
• They deliver specimens to hospital laboratories for analysis, and after operations they take patients to the recovery room. Analyze and Discuss the Blood Gas Reports with Surgeons and Anesthesiologists and do the necessary variables.
• Keep abreast of the progress of and knowledge to maintain the highest standard of professional competence.
• Assist in preparing the room for surgery.

Requirements for Role of OT Technician

• A high school Diploma or its equivalent. With vocational trainings in operating room technology
• Current license in country of origin with MOH license to practice in U.A.E.
• Minimum 3 years scrubbing experience in the main operating room or similar setting is a plus.
• Programs vary between one year to 2 years. (Training in medical terminology, physiology, and sterilization methods.)
