About the Role
The Operating Theatre Staff Nurse at King’s College Hospital London UAE will work as part of the surgical team, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment. Furthermore, the successful candidate will assist surgeons during procedures while ensuring a sterile and organized operating theatre. Moreover, this role involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal surgical outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative process
- Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment
- Maintain and prepare operating theatre equipment and instruments
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients
- Comply with hospital policies, infection control standards, and best practices
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Coordinate with anesthesia and recovery teams for seamless patient handover
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs
- Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and patient records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
- Valid DHA, DOH, or MOH license or eligibility as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an operating theatre or surgical setting
- Experience in a multispecialty JCI-accredited hospital preferred
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
