About the Role

The Regional Head of Strategic Projects & Vaccines / Respiratory & CNS at Abbott Laboratories is responsible for driving step-change growth across priority portfolios and markets. Furthermore, this role operates at the intersection of strategy, portfolio leadership, and execution, acting as a trusted advisor to the Divisional Vice President. Moreover, the position involves close partnership with the Regional Marketing Director to ensure strong alignment across brand strategy, portfolio priorities, and market execution throughout the MEAP region.

Key Responsibilities for Regional Head of Strategic Projects and Vaccines at Abbott Laboratories Dubai

• Lead and implement multi-year acceleration plans across priority countries aligned with regional growth objectives
• Partner with country GMs and cross-functional teams to diagnose growth levers and manage P&L modeling and ROI analysis
• Drive end-to-end regional marketing strategy for Vaccines, Respiratory, and CNS portfolios
• Lead launch excellence and portfolio optimization through strategic frameworks and execution standards
• Support local execution by partnering with country marketing teams on performance tracking and capability development
• Serve as a thought partner and advisor to the DVP on portfolio strategy and investment choices
• Lead preparation of executive-level materials including strategic reviews and SLT updates
• Act as a regional integrator across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, and Finance teams
• Promote best-practice sharing and capability development across markets

Requirements

• Consultancy background is required for this leadership position
• Senior commercial, marketing, or strategy leadership experience in pharmaceuticals
• Experience in vaccines or specialty care across multiple markets is a strong advantage
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives with tangible business outcomes
• Experience operating in regional or multi-country roles within emerging and developed markets
• Strong understanding of portfolio strategy, brand leadership, and launch execution
