Officer Emergency Response (Family Assistance) at Flydubai in ENI Sapphire Tower Office number 6, Al Ittihad Road. Port Saeed, Deira Dubai, UAE will develop and support flydubai’s family assistance program aimed at safeguarding the company and enhancing their response to an accidents, incidents, or disruptions across a challenging network of destinations, encompassing diverse global cultures and a wide geographical area. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 6000-9000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Officer Emergency Response

  • Assists in the development, implementation, coordination & delivery of the company’s Family Assistance functions.
  • Develops the Family Assistance Plan and Manual in collaboration with Family Assistance Directors and Ambassadors.
  • Assists with the design and delivery of humanitarian and Special Assistance Team training across the organization and wider outstation network.
  • Documents and publishes lessons learnt for enhancement of the Family Assistance program, drawing from real-world responses and case studies across various industries.
  • Reviews regulatory requirements for humanitarian support and family assistance across all states of operation and provides summary updates on regulatory changes.
  • Conducts disaster management planning for humanitarian response in coordination with their external emergency services provider.
  • Ensures collaboration with external entities across the network to facilitate planning of response and resource deployment during an activation.
  • Acts as the SME for Telephone Enquiry Centre, developing training, processes & actions aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Creates and manages a database of Family Assistance Team members, documenting their key skills and qualifications.
  • Coordinates with local and regional government officials, hospitals & other institutions to determine their needs and capabilities in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency.
  • Maintains records and matrices for training of family assistance teams.
  • Acts as designated representative for the Business Continuity & Emergency Response department outside regular hours. Assuming the role of department SME during the activation of the Crisis Management Centre.

Requirements for Role of Officer Emergency Response

  • High School Diploma.
  • Certificate in Emergency Planning & Response for Airlines (or similar)
  • 4 years experience with Family Assistance (Special Assistance Teams) or in a customer-facing role is mandatory.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of ICAO Annex 13 (Doc 9973 & Doc 9978) is essential.
