Job Description

Dubai Corporation For Ambulance Services (DCAS) UAE is presently looking for qualified candidates for job position of a Emergency Medical Technician (EMT Advance Level). DCAS was founded officially in Dubai in 1977 to undertake responsibility to provide ambulance services to the Dubai Emirate community. DCAS works across following domains:-

  • People of Determination Transport Unit: Most specialized ambulance vehicles featuring well specialized staff in dealing people of determination.
  • Desert Responder: Designed for rapid intervention in wilderness areas equipped with all equipment and medical supplies for ambulance vehicles.
  • Air Ambulance: Designed to transport critical cases located far from hospitals or transport patients b/w hospitals.
  • Marine Ambulance. Transport the sick and the injured safely, using radar and navigation devices, from the sea and water areas.
  • Intensive Care Unit: Specialized ambulance equipped with qualified ambulance crew, highly trained to deal with critical cases.
  • Maternity Care Unit: Comprises of full qualified female crew for transporting pregnant women and children less than 12 years.

Job Purpose of An Medical Technician

As An Emergency Medical Technician, provide rapid and proficient pre hospital medical care to patients in emergency situations.

Your Job Duties As An Medical Technician At Dubai Corporation For Ambulance Services UAE

  • Deliver quality patient care in accordance with DCAS Clinical Practice guidelines as per scope of practice (EMT Advance level).
  • Performs all duties in a safe & professional manner, always considering the well being of the patient.
  • Follow defined rules / instructions to make simple decisions related to emergency patients care.
  • Mentors, trains and encourages fellow new staff and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level as needed.
  • Maintain competency in all skills and medications identified in DCAS EMT Advance Skills and medication Matrix.
  • Take lead of patient management in absence of higher skilled staff.
  • Drive ambulance vehicles in accordance with DCAS policy and procedures including pre shift vehicle check.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Internationally / Nationally recognized Academic Diploma in EMS.

Or

  • Bachelor’s in nursing.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in same role.

Certification

  • Valid BLS & a Trauma Certificate (PHTLS or ITLS).

Licensing

  • Licensed as DCAS Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Valid UAE driver’s license and EVO (Emergency Vehicle Operator) course.

Nationality

  • Preferably UAE national.
