Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Qualified and Proactive Nurse Manager Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Overview of Nurse Manager Job
This position is responsible for the nursing practice and quality of care in an operating Unit/Department, ensuring superior clinical outcomes, while creating an environment of compassionate, patient-centered care of the highest quality.
Responsibilities of Nurse Manager PACU
- Performs accurate and complete Admission assessments.
- Monitors and documents the Patient’s condition and the effectiveness of care and/or interventions.
- Establishes and implements a care plan based on sound nursing theory, scientific principles, professional judgment and individual patient needs.
- Evaluates and updates the Patient’s plan of care to facilitate the achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
- Assesses for and plans the Educational needs of the patient.
- Provides Teaching and Educational material to patients and/or families, which may include diagnosis, tests and procedures, safe and proper use of equipment, use of medications, injury prevention and nutritional needs.
- Monitors and resolves customer service issues and provides feedback regarding satisfaction results to Nursing Leadership.

- Maintain Confidentiality regarding patients and families.
- Interact with patients, families and other visitors in a courteous, helpful manner.
- Facilitate the incorporation of patient safety and Magnet Principles into clinical nursing care.
- Participate in Clinical nursing research and support CCAD research initiatives.
- Keep abreast of best practice information for nursing profession.
- Ensure that nursing and clinical practice is in accordance with the mission and strategic plan.
- Lead the Caregiver team in the delivery of patient care collaborating with other disciplines to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Engage patient and family in hand-off of clinical information and planning daily plan of care as appropriate.
- Participate in safety education programs and cause analysis as required.
- Report needed changes in practice supported by evidence.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent qualification (minimum three (3) year curriculum) in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Management or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) board Certification or equivalent Postgraduate qualification in specialty area is preferred.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Valid and Current National License.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years Post-Graduate Experience in PACU is required.
- Experience requirement is waived for Graduates of UAE Nursing Colleges or Universities after completion of an Approved Internship.
