Job Description

Purpose of Nurse Educator

Responsible for educating and evaluating nursing staff. Collaborate with Physicians/ medical practitioners to incorporate nursing processes into the patient care plans.

Responsibilities of Nurse Educator

  • Enhance specialized patient care by providing educational mentorship to healthcare providers and patients to in the hospital.
  • Facilitate nursing staff and patients  in health management, educational needs and and problem resolution.
  • Plan, implement and deliver educational curriculum in collaboration with Physicians and nursing staff.
  • Guide and mentor in skills development programs according to parameters of Established care models
  • Implement trending educational strategies while complying to hospital’s quality standards.
  • Provide patient care as per nursing protocols. Assist in the performance of all nursing duties.
  • Educate patients care and technical staff on the use of new instruments, supplies and equipment.
  • Take part in in-service training and workshops.
  • Continuously promote improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Education & Experience

  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Master in Nursing is preferable.
  • Current license in country of origin with DHA license (Registered Nurse) to practice in Dubai, UAE.
  • Minimum of 5+ years related work experience including past clinical teaching, program planning, project execution and supervisory level experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Demonstrate sound decision-making and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge and use of Computer, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to prepare and collate data for submission/presentation to the Nursing Service.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Skills in the preparation and evaluation of forms, and oral and graphic media.
  • Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
