About the Role

Al Ain British Academy is seeking an outstanding Music Teacher for the Academic Year 2026-2027. This exciting opportunity is based in Al Ain, the heritage Garden City of the United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, the successful candidate will deliver engaging Music lessons across the ability range, following the English National Curriculum. Key Responsibilities

As Music Teacher, you will plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school’s policies. Additionally, you will create a stimulating learning environment, set clear targets building on prior attainment, and identify SEN, EAL, and Gifted and Talented students to ensure their needs are met through differentiation. Moreover, your duties include making effective use of assessment for learning, marking students’ work regularly, and using performance data to inform planning. Furthermore, you will prepare informative reports for parents, attend parent and student events, and take part in subject development by producing and reviewing curriculum plans and schemes of work. In addition, you will collaborate with other professionals and undertake any duties assigned by the senior leadership team.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related subject along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification. Additionally, a minimum of two years of teaching experience in the English Curriculum is required. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to the school’s vision and values. Moreover, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with knowledge of current developments in education and experience teaching across the ability range. Experience working in international schools is also desirable.
