Job Purpose of A Marketing & Communication Manager

The marketing and communications manager will be responsible for social media channels, media buying, coordinating external advertising agencies, managing events, handling brand communication, and ensuring the production of high-quality marketing materials.

Duties of A Marketing & Communication Manager

Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies

  • Create comprehensive marketing plans to achieve DIDI objectives, including increasing enrollment, enhancing brand visibility, and promoting academic programs.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget for DIDI, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to various marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Oversee the university’s digital marketing efforts, including website development, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and social media campaigns.
  • Compiling weekly/monthly social media platform reports.
  • Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to develop creative campaigns, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and marketing objectives.

Public Relation

  • Develop and implement effective PR strategies to enhance the university’s reputation.
  • Develop internal and external communication plans.
  • Prepare press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to announce newsworthy events, initiatives, and achievements of DIDI.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the university, responding to media inquiries, arranging interviews, and managing media relations during crisis situations.
  • Identify appropriate media channels and negotiate media buying contracts to maximize the university’s exposure.

Event Management

  • Plan and execute DIDI events, including open houses, graduation ceremony, campus tours, conferences, journal and community engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and successful event execution.
  • Oversee the production of marketing collateral, such as brochures, pamphlets, banners, digital ads, and videos.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communication, PR or related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years proven experience with the UAE/Gulf marketing communications environment (media, suppliers, etc.)

Skills Desired

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive content.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing marketing strategies and materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in media buying, advertising campaign management, and working with external agencies.
