Manager in Financial Planning & Analysis at Seddiqi Holding in Umm Al Sheif, Dubai, UAE will be responsible to lead and manage the financial planning and budgeting cycle for the group at Seddiqi Holding in compliance with the organization’s budgeting policies and procedures. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-30000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Strategic: Lead and support the annual budget planning and forecasting for the non-retail business functions across Seddiqi Holding
  • Support in streamlining the budgeting policies and procedures; and development of new policies and frameworks when required.
  • Work closely with the management team to formulate the organization’s medium to long term financial and strategic plan.
  • Budgetary Control: Conduct periodic and adhoc budget revision as per management requirements.
  • Manage the periodic budgetary planning cycle as per management requirement and maintain budgeting templates required to support the smooth execution of the annual budget planning process.
  • Manage the consolidation of budgets and periodic group reporting requirements with variance analysis on key business drivers & ensuring submissions to Group reporting timelines.
  • Monitor the budget and expenses spend of the non-retail vertical and conduct monthly reviews with the departments and non-retail entities to discuss the variance between the forecasted and actual performance.
  • Analyze the business case for the new budget requirements raised by the departments during the year and coordinate with the Due Diligence committee (DDC) team for approvals on additional budgetary requests.
  • Drive compliance to the internal budget control process within the business and departments; and support other cost-saving measures.
  • Management Reporting: Define management reporting requirements for the Group, in consultation with the Associate Director Finance and executive management of key departments..
  • Ensure timely generation of scheduled monthly reports to support management decision making and forecasting.
  • Provide support with any ad-hoc reporting requests on business/departmental performance from management, business, or any other departments.
  • Liaise between the Finance Accounting team and the department to resolve any queries related to expense entries in the system.
  • Drive opportunities for automation and efficiencies within the team.

What you will do more

  • Financial Planning: Perform financial feasibility assessment for the new business expansion (i.e. partnership/acquisition). And investment opportunities & present recommendations to the management.
  • Manage the preparation of financial models to support different budget and forecast scenarios.
  • Lead the requirements for financial feasibility assessment for the new business expansion opportunities including joint ventures & present recommendations to the management.
  • Oversee the monitoring of operational and financial risks on an ongoing basis using existing monitoring mechanisms and develop new monitoring mechanisms / tools as required to ensure a detailed view can be provided to stakeholders as required.
  • Keep abreast of external developments maintaining a view of external market performance and key economic indicators in the UAE and other relevant markets to Seddiqi Holding, leverage any learnings to plan for potential risks and provide advisory to required business units.
  • Support SAP Master data management, General Ledger Code Creation, Cost Centre/Profit Centre creation as required.
  • Operations and Performance: Drive opportunities for automation and efficiencies within the team.
  • Interface regularly with business unit management regularly to understand operational and financial challenges highlighting areas. That require attention, mirroring business activity & determining requirements to operate more effectively.
  • Maintain a view of business operations and financial performance and monitor the overall investment performance on an ongoing basis. Providing visibility and oversight to senior management as required.
  • Provide support for the organization wide digitalization initiatives. (Business Intelligence (BI), etc.)

Requirements for Role of Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Master’s Degree/Post Graduate diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 5-8 years job related experience.
  • 3 plus years’ experience in Retail Industry / Holding Company environment in UAE/Middle East.
