Moreover, the successful candidate will take lead responsibility for a programme area and contribute to cross-campus activities including student recruitment and international partnerships.

Key Responsibilities for Lecturer Senior Lecturer in Economics at Middlesex University Dubai

• Deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Economics
• Contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of courses and programmes in collaboration with colleagues in Dubai and London
• Integrate research insights and materials into the curriculum to enhance student learning
• Lead and shape major research projects and collaborative academic initiatives
• Maintain a strong personal research profile with outputs of high international standing
• Supervise Master’s students in research and dissertation projects
• Manage learning and teaching activities in a designated programme area
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to colleagues
• Contribute to student recruitment, induction, assessment, and national partnerships
• Promote the development of the campus’s research capacity and culture

Requirements

• Doctorate or equivalent in Economics, Econometrics, or a closely related field
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, innovative teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Expertise in Econometrics and Applied Quantitative Methods with specialization in areas such as International Trade, Macroeconomics, or Behavioural Economics
• Strong industry orientation with experience embedding professional qualifications and real-world learning into teaching
• Demonstrated ability to develop externally fundable research agenda with high-quality research outputs
• Track record of innovation in teaching and learning including curriculum design
• Proficiency in quantitative and statistical software such as Stata, R, Python, EViews, or SPSS
