About the Role

The Lecturer in Nuclear Infrastructure will join an established interdisciplinary research team within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Furthermore, you will conduct research related to nuclear infrastructure, which may encompass sensors, robotics, material science, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies. Moreover, this role involves contributing to curriculum development and delivery including lectures, tutorials, and laboratories at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key Responsibilities for Lecturer in Nuclear Infrastructure at University of Strathclyde Business School UAE Abu Dhabi

• Develop and lead an independent research programme in nuclear infrastructure
• Secure external research funding from UK research councils and industry bodies
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in civil engineering
• Supervise PhD students through the Nuclear Engineering Centre for Doctoral Training
• Collaborate with the Advanced Nuclear Research Centre on strategic research projects
• Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings

Requirements

• PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
