Job Purpose of A Laundry Team Leader
The job purpose of a Laundry Team Leader is to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a laundry facility, ensuring efficient and high-quality laundry services.
Duties of A Laundry Team Leader
- Supporting to set up the function and role during Pre-Opening phase.
- Working closely between the Hotel and our Residences to support any operational needs.
- Responsible for the control and checking of all linen and uniforms returned and to ensure that all quantities relate to the delivery notes.
- Ensure that any variances on delivery notes from the laundry are recorded correctly.
- Control and check quality and standard of work produced by the Laundry.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity control of all soft furnishings contracted out and to control all recorded quantity returned.
- Responsible for the issuing of all linen to all Departments.
- Responsible for the upkeep of all uniforms, Hotel linen and soft furnishings.
- Check all items for damage or stains and take appropriate action to rectify these issues.
- Reports any technical problems or deficiencies to the Laundry Manager or maintenance team.
- Assist in inventories and attend all departmental training as informed and scheduled by the manager.
- Assists with other responsibilities and duties in the absence of other teams’ members or other tasks assigned by the manager .
- Ensure your uniform is maintained in a good condition.
- To competently handle any complaints or queries regarding to valet service.
- Train all Valet members up to the Jumeirah standards.
- Carry out Valet members appraisals annually.
- Efficiently organize the smooth running of the department and delegate duties, write rotas etc.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Laundry Manager or Executive Housekeeper.

Qualification
- High school diploma or general education in Business Administration.
Experience
- Ideally 2-3 years Pre-Opening experience, experience on setting up any related systems or structures in the role or department.
