University of Strathclyde Business School UAE is seeking a Knowledge Exchange Associate with expertise in process analytical chemistry to join an interdisciplinary team within the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Additionally, this 36-month fixed-term position involves developing novel photonics-based process analytical technology solutions for sustainable medicines manufacturing.

About the Role

The Knowledge Exchange Associate will form part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers within an Innovate UK Sustainable Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Programme. Furthermore, you will develop and deliver end-user engagement, dissemination, and training activities for the InSPIREmed project focusing on integrated spectroscopy and photonics for medicines manufacture. Moreover, this role involves working closely with industrial partners, research organisations, and regulatory experts to advance the sustainability of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver end-user engagement and dissemination activities
• Design and implement training programmes for industrial and academic partners
• Apply optical spectroscopic techniques for on-line process monitoring
• Collaborate with industrial partners and research technology organisations
• Support the development of photonics-based process analytical technology solutions
• Contribute to regulatory engagement and compliance activities
• Publish research findings and knowledge exchange outcomes
• Manage stakeholder relationships across the InSPIREmed consortium
• Promote sustainability improvements in medicines manufacturing processes
• Contribute to project reporting and milestone delivery

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in process analytical chemistry, analytical science, chemistry, or chemical engineering
• Experience in using optical spectroscopic techniques for on-line process monitoring
• Demonstrated experience in knowledge exchange activities and stakeholder engagement
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and sustainability
• Excellent communication skills for training delivery and dissemination
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary research team
